Fluke.....

What a surprise when we caught this Sailfish.  We were bottom fishing at a depth of 84m when on the way down, this 29kg saily decided to take on one of the squid baits. The hook was one of the smallest that we use a 2'. The saily gave us a spectacular display only meters from the boat, causing a lot of excitement. This was a first for me, though I know of many pick-ups by Marlin targeting the reef fish being winched up off the reef. The reef fish being their natural food source.
